DM Renewables was founded to build upon the principals’ extensive best-in-class industry partnerships, developed over the years, to provide integrated site selection, land acquisition and development for the renewable energy industry.
Principals have over 30 years collective renewable energy development experience in wind, solar and battery storage. While developing over 1 GW+ of renewable energy, they have taken projects from greenfield to commercial operations while engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
DM Renewables LLC is a Texas based developer specializing in the development of solar, wind and battery energy storage (BESS) in the ERCOT electric market of Texas and Southwest Power Pool (SPP).

Randy Delkus – Partner/ Director
Randy Delkus joined DM Renewables in 2022 and has spent the last three years in the renewable energy industry. More specifically, he has led the financing of approximately 2 GW of utility scale battery storage projects. In addition, DM Renewables is in various stages of development of multiple data center projects.
Prior to working for DM Renewables, he spent twenty-five years starting, building, and selling companies. Randy was the co-founder, CEO and Chairman of the Board of CitizensRx, a full-service Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM), which grew to be one of the largest U.S. based middle market PBMs. CitizensRx sold a minority stake to Blue Cross Blue Shield’s venture fund in 2015, completed a debt recap and equity sale to a private equity firm in 2017 and again in 2019.
Randy also has extensive experience with venture capital, private equity and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to CitizensRx, he was Partner, President and CEO of a venture capital firm specializing in high tech start-ups. During this period, Randy also provided financial and business consulting to a developer of wind energy. Additionally, Randy spent ten years in senior management positions in the provider-side of healthcare including serving as CEO of one of St. Louis’ premier healthcare institutions. In addition to running the day-to-day operations, he was also responsible for overseeing the financing and building of a 525,000 square foot 378 (in-patient) bed replacement facility using $55MM in municipal bonds. Randy resides in St. Louis, Missouri.
John McNair – Partner/ Director
John has spent the last 20 years in the renewable energy industry. As a founder of DM Renewables, he is responsible for land acquisition for BESS, solar and data center development. Prior to DM Renewables, John was a founding partner and Director of Land Acquisition at Hill Country Wind Power, a utility scale wind project developer, as well as a founding Partner at Clean Power Texas, a utility scale solar project developer. John has managed the lease-up of 250,000+ acres for renewable energy projects over his career.
A seasoned renewable energy project developer and licensed Texas real estate broker, John has taken greenfield projects through the development process, while engaging with a wide range of stakeholders. Since 2008, John’s efforts have led to the development of 1.2+ GW of wind, 2 GW of BESS, and 1.6+ GW of solar projects. An experienced project originator, John developed a portfolio of renewable projects using GIS data combined with building personal relationships.
John’s experience includes project management, strategy, market analysis, M&A due diligence, geospatial analysis, permitting, land entitlements and title curative, project siting, interconnection and transmission, as well as coordinating all site-related development tasks, and maintaining stakeholder relations throughout the development process.
John is a hands-on 6th generation Texas ranch owner/ operator and received the Family Land Heritage Award from the Texas Department of Agriculture. John earned a BBA from the University of North Texas and operates a land brokerage, based in San Antonio, TX.
Pete Delkus – Partner/ Director
Pete Delkus is a founding partner and serves as Project Manager for DM Renewables. With more than 20 years of experience, he specializes in developing and delivering utility-scale renewable energy and data center projects. His expertise spans the full project lifecycle—from early-stage site discovery and financial structuring through construction, commissioning, and operations.
Throughout his career, Pete has managed over 2.8 GW of wind and solar projects, overseeing critical elements such as site selection, land acquisition, energy forecasting, environmental assessments, permitting, transmission, and interconnection. In addition, he brings a strong background in fundraising, financial analysis, and project execution, making him a trusted leader in advancing renewable energy initiatives.
Pete was a founding partner of Hill Country Wind Power, a utility-scale wind developer, and later a founding partner of Clean Power Texas, a utility-scale solar developer. In these roles, he directed all major aspects of project development, including site selection, energy resource assessments, environmental and permitting processes, engineering coordination, and grid interconnection planning. His leadership helped advance multiple large-scale renewable energy projects from concept to construction readiness, establishing a strong track record in both wind and solar development.
Pete was also a founding partner at Basin Renewables, a developer focused on data centers, utility-scale solar, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). At Basin, he led the advancement of two flagship projects in Texas: a 600 MW utility-scale solar farm with a 400 MW BESS, fully integrated with a 400 MW hyperscale data center, and a 300 MW hyperscale campus in the Dallas–Fort Worth region. These projects highlight Pete’s ability to deliver complex, large-scale developments that combine clean energy and digital infrastructure at scale.
Pete Delkus is also Chief Meteorologist at a television station in Dallas, Texas with over 30 years of meteorology experience. Pete holds a Bachelor of Science from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville and did his Master level meteorology work at Mississippi State University. He is board certified by the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association and holds a Seal of Approval from these two organizations.
